About KNCJ (From the KUNR Website)

KUNR-Reno Public Radio has just launched (Oct. 13, 2016) a new radio station dedicated to classical music and weekend jazz, filling a musical and cultural void on the local radio dial. It's listener-supported KNCJ at 89.5 FM, serving Reno and Sparks with 24-hour classical music weekdays and weekend jazz. The Metropolitan Opera will air live from New York on Saturday mornings with the new season that begins in December. And while KNCJ's coverage area is limited to the Reno-Sparks valley and the periphery, at least to start, it is streaming online and on mobile devices everywhere.

According to the KUNR Web site, KUNR's service area is one of the largest in the country.
