Scot Marshall

With a professional career spanning over 45 years, Reno-based acoustic and electric bassist, vocalist, and storyteller Scot Marshall has performed with esteemed ensembles ranging from the Omaha and Reno Philharmonic symphonies to legendary artists like Arthur Fiedler, The Diamonds, and Mimi Fox. An active presence in the northern Nevada music scene since 1985 after studying with jazz great Rufus Reid, Marshall uniquely blends spoken word, song, and instrumentation, drawing on a rich family storytelling tradition rooted in his grandmother's Chautauqua touring history. Alongside his performance and acclaimed storytelling work, he shares his extensive experience as an instructor of bass, guitar, and voice while offering live entertainment, voiceover acting, and event planning services.
