George Tavoularis

Keyboardist George Tavoularis began his musical journey in Southern California during the mid-1960s, signing to a Los Angeles record label at the age of 16 and gaining early experience working alongside top studio musicians. After years of touring on the road, he relocated to Hawaii in 1976, where he collaborated with the region's premier jazz artists. Drawing foundational influences from jazz legends such as Bill Evans, Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, and Joe Sample, Tavoularis eventually brought his versatile piano and keyboard artistry to the New World Jazz Project, contributing to the ensemble's dynamic recordings and eclectic performances.
