Eric Middleton

Eric Middleton is a Reno‑based percussionist and drummer who serves as Principal Percussionist for the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra and performs widely across the region’s jazz and orchestral communities. His versatility spans intimate jazz settings—such as trio performances with Susan Mazer and Dallas Smith at Midtown Spirits Wine & Bites—to larger ensemble work as a co‑founder of No Comprende, a long‑running seven‑piece Latin‑jazz band where he features on vibraphone and timbales. Middleton’s studio contributions include congas, marimba, and timbales on independent recordings produced in Sparks and Carson City, reflecting his broad command of percussion textures. A graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, he brings both technical mastery and stylistic range to every project, making him a sought‑after collaborator throughout the Reno‑Tahoe music scene.
