Adam Benjamin

Adam Benjamin is a Grammy-nominated pianist, keyboardist, composer, and educator recognized repeatedly as a "Rising Star in Jazz" in DownBeat magazine's critic and reader polls. As a founding member of the acclaimed electric jazz quintet Kneebody, he has toured internationally and contributed to numerous celebrated releases. In addition to his extensive collaborative work with artists such as Dave Douglas, Joshua Redman, and the Jimmy Chamberlin Complex, Benjamin has released notable solo and duo projects spanning avant-garde jazz, traditional interpretations, and original compositions. Committed to education, he serves as Director of the Reno Jazz Festival and an Associate Professor of Jazz Studies and Piano at the University of Nevada, Reno, following previous faculty roles at Tulane University and his alma mater, the California Institute of the Arts.
